I've been a little delinquent in posting updates lately. Part of the reason is that I really haven't known what to post. However, I know there are folks that are curious for any update with my situation, no matter how brief.

So it has been about 4 months since I received my cancer diagnosis in January. Since then I've completed a round of chemotherapy

After what seems like forever, I have completed all of the required tests and my treatment team has developed their initial treatment plan. I'll be starting with a round of chemotherapy and then this may be followed by a round of radiation therapy.

So, now that I've been told told I have cancer, what is next? Well it is pretty simple, tests, tests, and more tests! The doctors need to figure out what is the source of these cancer cells, what type and the stage or progression.

Finding out you have cancer is pretty shocking news, no matter the scenario. So finding out you have cancer with no prior symptoms or inclination that you are sick can be doubly shocking.
